The City ff Miami Film Commission & Egeda Agreement

EGEDA (Audiovisual Producers’ Rights Management Association) and The City of Miami film commission signed a Collaboration and development Agreement in order to create and explore educational, business and cultural initiatives in film and other global media industries, also to serve as a liaison to facilitate relations and productions between the US film industry, specially in Miami, Florida and those of Spain and Latin America.

The event took place at the Spanish cultural Center in Miami, presented by Julián Linares and the agreement was signed by The city of Miami commissioner Willy Gorth, the director of The City of Miami Film Commission Vinnie Betancourt and Rafael Sánchez, Manager Director of EGEDA. Both entities are in agreement to establish mutually beneficial business exchanges and partnerships to develop several projects in the field of film, and global media industry that shall highlight the creative potential of both film industries, as well as promote the distribution of movies in the USA.

From EGEDA, we defend the Intellectual property rights but we also generate work and promote the film industry. Commissioner Willy Gorth said that this agreement is going to benefit very much the city as the film industry itself generate $60.000 Millions.

This agreement has been signed during the celebration of the third edition of Recent Cinema from Spain.
