OVER 600 GUESTS ATENDED THE SCREENING OF ”EMBARAZADOS” AT THE KICK-OFF EVENT OF RECENT CINEMA FROM SPAIN.
RECENT CINEMA FROM SPAIN FILM SERIES IN MIAMI ANNOUNCES PROGRAM LINE-UP AND SPECIAL GUESTS, INCLUDING 3 US PREMIERES AND 2 MIAMI PREMIERES

The full film program was announced at the Olympia Theater in Downtown Miami during a festive kick-off event that included the performance of the Spanish music group Las Migas, a fascinating blend of Flamenco and Mediterranean styles that combines classic and contemporary rhythms.
This year’s program includes The feel-good comedy NIGHT TALES, THE OPEN DOOR (LA PUERTA ABIERTA), an award-winning drama with brilliant performances, OUR LOVERS (NUESTROS AMANTES), a romantic comedy full of twists and Spanish stars, PARTY TOWN (EL PRÉGON), a hilarious movie for comedy lovers, BOY MISSING (SECUESTRO), a chilling mystery thriller featuring Jose Coronado and THE OLIVE TREE (EL OLIVO), Iciar Bollain’s critically acclaimed and touching drama.
Under the umbrella of Recent Cinema from Spain, Latin WE President Luis Balaguer was honored with a proclamation by the City of Miami for his contribution in the film industry promoting Latin talent and for his excellence of his work, creating jobs and opportunities in Miami. After 25 years in the entertainment industry, Balaguer was named amongst the Most Powerful and Influential Hispanics. Following the Proclamation, October 27th will now be “El dia de Luis Balaguer” in Miami. The proclamation was handed to Mr. Balaguer by The City of Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado.
Over 600 guests attended the kick-off event including the Consul General of Spain in Miami Candido Creis, Univision host Raul de Molina, Despierta America’s Karla Martinez & Actor Cristian de la Fuente.
The audience enjoyed the Comedy EMBARAZADOS (WE ARE PREGNANT) by Director Juana Macias Alba starring Paco Leon & Alexandra Jimenez.
